Ontario Pork represents the 1,200 farmers who market hogs in the province in many areas, including research, government representation, environmental issues, consumer education and food quality assurance. The pork industry in Ontario accounts for more than 12,000 jobs, and contributes more than $2.5 billion in economic output to the Ontario economy. Ontario farmers produce some of the highest quality pork in the world and abide by strict on-farm food safety regulations.
