A translational research institute focused on R&D in cancer prevention, early detection, diagnosis and treatment. A federally incorporated, independent, not-for-profit institute with base funding from the Government of Ontario, it has R&D programs in small molecules, diagnostics, biologics, stem cells, imaging, genomics, and informatics and bio-computing. Prioritizes difficult to treat cancers, personalized medicine, prevention, diagnostics, screening, treatment delivery and the commercialization of research findings. (LSO)
