The FPL mandate is to protect forests with services such as fire management, pest management, research and development & aerial surveys. FPL works closely with a variety of organizations including provincial departments of Natural Resources & Environment, private companies, and federal departments such as Canadian & United States Forest Service. FPL has played a key role in the development & deployment of aerial application technologies, as well as biological pesticides including pheromones.
