Catalyst Agri-Innovations Society (CAIS) was established to support development of sustainable food systems through technical harmonization, driving down, and/or eliminating waste and wastefulness. This includes anaerobic digestion, phytoremediation and fermentation. The purpose is to establish valuation potentials, which may reduce or eliminate disposal costs. CAIS has formed the Symbiosis Ag-Tech Consortium to launch a Living Lab initiative in Abbotsford, developing solutions for community scale manure management.
