The PHC Research Institute is home to more than 200 researchers and attracted $61 million in scientific competitive grants and industry sponsored research trials in 2019-2020. The PHC Research Institute prioritizes prevention, treatment and outcomes research questions that are relevant to Providence Health Care's populations of emphasis. Our major research programs include cardiovascular and pulmonary diseases; kidney disease; mental health and addictions; aging; HIV/AIDS; and urban health.
