Farmers established NWT in order to bring competition through better prices and service to the grain businesses in Northwest Saskatchewan. NWT was one of the first companies to add value to farmers' grain by cleaning and drying on the prairies.The company operates a 25 million litre per year specialty alcohol and fuel-ethanol facility under the brand name North West PURE Alcohol and Spirits.
