Rapidly evolved to become the most important research group on swine infectious diseases in North America. Research activities are mainly focused on pathogenesis of bacterial and viral infections in swine. Major research themes : the molecular & cellular characterization of virulence factors of prominent swine pathogens, such as Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae, Escherichia coli, Salmonella, Streptococcus suis & Haemophilus parasuis, SRRP, PCV and PED viruses.
